CYAA has one Babe Ruth baseball team
managed by
CYAA has two major baseball teams
participating in the Lamprey River Little League. Each team is comprised of 13
players and are governed by official Little League Baseball rules. Players wishing to participate in Majors
baseball must tryout to make one of the teams. Any player not selected as part
of the draft will automatically be selected by a Minor league team. Players wishing to participate in Majors must
be between the ages of 9-12 on or before April 30, 2006.
In 2006 CYAA had three minor baseball teams
participating in the Lamprey River Little League. Each team is comprised of 13
players and are governed by official Little League Baseball rules. Players
wishing to participate in Minors baseball do not need to attend a tryout but
are highly encouraged to do so to ensure balanced minor league team skill
levels. Players wishing to participate
in Minors must be between the ages of 8-12 on or before April 30, 2006.
In 2006 CYAA had three farm league baseball
teams participating in the Lamprey River Little League. Farm is designed to be
an instructional coach pitch league to help the players develop the fundamental
skills necessary to play at the Minor and Major league level. Players wishing to participate in Farm must
be between the ages of 6 – 9 on or before April 30, 2006.
In 2006 CYAA had four tee-ball teams.
Tee-Ball is an introductory program designed to introduce the player to the
game of baseball and begin to develop the fundamental skills of throwing,
catching, and hitting. Players wishing
to participate in Tee-Ball must be between the ages of 5-6 on or before April
30, 2006. T-Ball is a clinic style
program designed to involve both parents and kids in learning the game.
