Softball Programs Available

U16 Softball – Player Pitch (Ages 13-16):

CYAA has one U16 Babe Ruth softball team. The team is governed by official Babe Ruth Softball rules.  Parents wishing to learn more about Babe Ruth Softball should visit the official website at http://www.baberuthleague.org/softball.html 

Players wishing to participate in Babe Ruth softball must attend player evaluations.  Players wishing to participate in U16 softball must be between the ages of 13-16 as of December 31st, 2008. 

 

Majors Softball – Player Pitch (Ages 9-12):

CYAA has one major softball team participating in Babe Ruth Softball. The team is governed by official Babe Ruth Softball rules.  Players wishing to participate in Majors softball must tryout to make the team. Any player not selected as part of the draft will automatically be selected by a Minor league team.  Players wishing to participate in Majors must be between the ages of 9-12 on or before December 31st, 2009.  Player evaluations will be conducted on March 20th, 2010 at the CYAA fieldhouse. Times will be announced.

 

Minors Softball – Player Pitch (Ages 8-12):

CYAA has one or two minor softball teams depending on the number of players signing up.  Each team is governed by official Little League Softball rules.  Players wishing to participate in Minors softball do not need to attend a tryout but are highly encouraged to do so to ensure balanced minor league team skill levels.  Players wishing to participate in Minors must be between the ages of 8-12 on or before December 31st, 2010.  Player evaluations will be conducted on March 20th, 2009 at the CYAA fieldhouse.  Times will be announced.
