Programs
Candia Soccer offers programs starting as early as age 2 and running through age 19. Our goal is to offer programs that develop the player’s skills, offers them an opportunity to play at an appropriate competitive level and most importantly have fun playing the game of soccer.
Starting at 2 years old, kids can start participating in the program run by our partner Soccer Shots. Soccer Shots offers programs for 2 years old, 3 years old, 4-5 years old and 5-8 years old. Soccer Shots runs programs year round at the CYAA facility, utilizing the indoor turf within the CYAA Fieldhouse during the winter. CLICK to register for Soccer Shots programs
The Rec program is offered in the Fall on Saturday mornings for ages 5-9 and is run by coaches & players from the SNHU Men’s Soccer program. The players will engage in age appropriate training and most importantly a fun and engaging experience. In addition, we look to play games on Friday evenings versus neighboring towns. The program is structured in a way that the younger kids join the Rec program at the age of 5 and during the 3-4 year period gain the skills and confidence so they are ready to join a Stingers (Girls) or Storm (Boys) travel team at the age of 8 or 9 years old.
The Travel program, Candia FC, is offered for ages 8-19 and has a long, rich history of fielding successful teams in the New Hampshire Soccer League. Teams practice 1-2 days per week for 60-90 minutes and play an 8 game season on the weekends, primarily on Saturday’s. Games are played against other programs across the State of New Hampshire, usually no more than an hour from Candia, but on occasion can play teams as far away as Keene and Conway. In addition, teams have the opportunity to play on Columbus Day Weekend in the Sanford, Maine holiday tournament. To provide additional skill development, the program partners with JT Soccer Training and the NH Soccer Academy to offer skills based training to our athletes.
Candia FC runs separate seasons in the Fall and Spring. Each season is a new registration and a player does not have to commit to both seasons. For the Fall Season, evaluations will be held as needed based on the registration numbers in each age group. For the Spring season, returning players in good standing from the fall are guaranteed a roster spot for the spring season, but must be registered by the applicable deadline to confirm their spot. It is at the coach’s discretion to add players if the coach determines that roster space is available. The coach has the discretion to hold an evaluation of the player before adding them to the team, and has the option to make the player a “practice only” player until they are deemed ready or roster space is available.
Each outdoor soccer field has lights which support 7v7, 9v9 & 11v11 Games. Every travel team is guaranteed each season to play one game under the lights. We also have an indoor turf field which is utilized for winter training and indoor practices during inclement weather.
